As a certified B Corp™, our business practices are certified on environmental, social, and governance standards. We strive to be transparent and accountable for our impact, and adapt our practices to reflect evolving social and environmental issues—aligning with consumer demands and values.
You deserve the full story. That’s why we track and share the environmental footprint of every product with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data, and make it easy to find on each product’s page. Each year, we publish an Impact Report with a breakdown of our total carbon emissions so we can hold ourselves accountable, spot areas of improvement, and celebrate the wins along the way.

We only work with factories that uphold safe working conditions, fair wages, and worker empowerment – no exceptions. Our commitment to transparency extends to our production through our Meet the Makers campaign, where we proudly share all the details, and people, behind our production process. All styles are designed in Copenhagen and produced in partnership with innovative factories that align with our values and bring expert knowledge in materials and technologies to create products that feel good and fit right.
Donations
As proud members of 1% for the Planet, we donate one percent of our annual sales directly to support environmental initiatives like Big Blue Ocean Cleanup, Cool Earth, and the Or Foundation, to list a few.
Certifications
Sometimes organic materials, sometimes not – but always thoughtfully sourced. From organic cotton and recycled nylon to TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers, every fabric we use is carefully chosen for quality and purpose.
We prioritize quality and certifications and work hard to certify our different collections. We are a Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified (CU 1067589). Only products which carry the certification label and claim are certified.

Who owns Organic Basics?
Organic Basics was founded in Denmark in 2015 and has been part of Delta Galil Industries since being acquired in 2022. Today, Organic Basics continues to be led by co-founders Mads Fibiger and Alexander Christiansen from Copenhagen, and remains a certified B Corporation™.
What does GOTS certification actually cover?
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certifies everything that happens to a textile after the organic fiber leaves the farm: processing, manufacturing, and trading, checked against strict environmental and social criteria and verified by independent audits at every stage of the supply chain.
Are there PFAS in underwear?
PFAS (“forever chemicals”) aren't inherent to underwear — they show up specifically in certain chemical finishes, most often moisture-wicking or odor-control treatments, and in some leak-proof liners. GOTS certification prohibits adding PFAS outright, and our Restricted Substances List (RSL) adds a further layer of control, applied to incoming fabric, trims and finishes.
What's the difference between TENCEL™ Lyocell, TENCEL™ Modal, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose and organic cotton?
Organic cotton is a natural fiber grown from the cotton plant under organic farming rules. TENCEL™ Lyocell, TENCEL™ Modal and LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose are all wood-based cellulosic fibers, made by Lenzing AG from certified or controlled wood sources — but they're produced through three different processes, and each carries its own certifications and claims. TENCEL™, LENZING™ and ECOVERO™ are trademarks of Lenzing AG.
